Jealous Guy — John Lennon
The music was written in India, as a song called “Child of Nature”. After it made neither the cut for the White Album or Let It Be, John rewrote the lyrics.
One can speculate that he’s addressing his ex-wife, Cynthia, whom he certainly hurt with his youthful indiscretions, womanizing and inability to be the husband and father he should have been. I’m not sure what jealousy had to do with it — he could have had her if he wanted her — but then, I’m no Lennon.
